O death, where is your victory?

Our little Jude met Jesus two months ago today.
We miss him as much as ever.
Yet, we are so thankful for this sweet truth
that Brandon read at his graveside today.

 I tell you this, brothers:
flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God,
nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
Behold! I tell you a mystery.
We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed, in a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised imperishable,
and we shall be changed.
For this perishable body must put on the imperishable,
and this mortal body must put on immortality.
When the perishable puts on the imperishable,
and the mortal puts on immortality,
then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Corinthians 15:50-57 ESV)

p.s.  Thanks so much to whomever left the wreath.  It looks beautiful. :-)

Praise to God who gives us victory through Jesus Christ.

Praying for you all as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, and remembering how baby Jude touched so many lives. Be safe in your travels.

Love, Tammy

The wreath was a combined effort of the girls, Debbie and myself. I put one on Patty's grave the day we went for Jude's funeral but the girl's couldn't take putting Jude's on that day. I asked Debbie if she would do it later and she said she would when she did the other graves. Hope it didn't make you to sad, I just wanted his grave to be marked for Christmas. You have choosen a beautiful marker... very fitting.

Thanks, Tammy!
And, thanks so much, Aunt Jenny! I thought it was you. I love you. And, the marker is a temporary one made by the man who takes care of the cemetery. We are in the process of deciding what we want to do for a marker.
