One year...

It's a day that has loomed large on our calendar for quite some time now:

August 15th, 2012

Our baby Jude's first birthday.

It's hard to believe how fast it has come, and yet here we are.  Already.

So much has happened in a year.

We are entering into a new season of grieving.  These last few months, I have often found myself thinking about what I was doing this time last year.  Moving here and settling into life in Florida has felt strange...a little like our temporary move to Albuquerque...one year ago.  And now, so many dates in the months to come have so much connected to them now...his birth, his milestones, his surgeries, his death.  And each day brings with it so many memories.

We have been unsure as to how best to mark Jude's birthday tomorrow... being so far away from all people and places connected to him.  Our current plan is to go to the beach together.  It was Caleb's idea, and we thought it was a good one.

Please pray for us tomorrow.  We need the Lord to walk us through this...just as He has walked us through this past year. He has been so good to us.

We've been lifting you as the Lord brings you to mind. So hard to believe it's been a year. Will be praying for you on this day.

We are going through difficult times, too. Please put us on your prayer list and I will put you on mine. Hope all is well and that this finds you in greater spirits than when you blogged.

Praying for you as you process and grieve and look thru all the memories and pictures of the precious 67 days you had with Jude. I hope today draws you to your Father in a tangible way. We love all of you!

My heart aches for you as I pray for you and your family. May God draw you near, may you know that He has sent warriors to battle for your heart, may you feel His arms surrounding you, may you experience His peace, and may you find yourself able to continue to claim His promises. I think of you, your family, and Jude often...as I continue to wait for my little one, I continue to pray for the baby I have yet to meet, possibily a little boy named after your precious boy. Jude will always be a part of my little one's story...his life finally gave me the courage to step forward and obey. Much love sweet girl!

I'm praying for you too Mandy. We each have difficulties on this day this year. I remember praying so much for you all this time last year and being encouraged by your faith during this time. I believe you helped lead me closer to God last year and this year as we process through our loss, I thank Him for you and your strength and example. Praying Mandy! We love you guys!

Hi Peltons!

Sorry I missed saying goodbye to you in Las Cruces. Can't believe Caleb is so big. I remember when we celebrated his 3rd birthday in the park. Hope all is well with you. Just starting in on the books you all gave. I hope you are not swamped with rain. Please remember me next Friday (the 14th) as I go to court for Social Security. I'm amxious but my folks will be there and better yet God will be there. I'll try to let you know the outcome. The Powell's gave me your address so I might actually write a letter. Take care and God bless!
