Fun Homework

I am having a lot of fun with this class, and I have learned a lot. This summer, I finally figured out how to use the manual setting on my camera and get consistent results. During the course of the last few weeks, I have been practicing using the shutter speed priority and the aperture priority settings on my camera. I am really enjoying them...and it all seems to be clicking. Below are the first two weeks assignments:

The windmill was spinning in both photos. The top photo was shot with a higher shutter speed, making it appear stopped.

The poor quality of the photos is due to a save-for-web attempt I tried. Saves space, but I am not a fan of the quality. Learning as I go...

  1. Mandy, I enjoyed looking through your blog tonight...you have a beautiful family and by the way, you are lovely too! :) I replied to you on my blog, but I will paste my reply here also...

Mandy, you are so sweet! To get the pictures in the left sidebar, I had to change my template to a 3 column template. I found the instructions on how to do it here... http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/blog-secrets/145-how-to-get-a-3-column-template.html

It isn't easy to do the first time, so I would suggest that you make a test blog and try it on that first, until you get it right, before trying it on your existing blog. If you make one little mistake it will mess up your blog. I do love having the three columns! If you need any help with anything on your blog, just let me know and I will see if I can help you. :)

  2. Hi Amanda, I got your blog address from the photography class, forum post. My family blog is actually private due to some sensitive information but I would love to start a "class" blog with our photography pics. I think it would be a great way to leave comments and encourage each other. If you are interested, please shoot me an email. krazy421 (at) yahoo (dot) com
